Wee Kiat the BooBoo Man
Made one of the most classic Booboos of all time.... Originally KML's bdae party was supposed to be on the 22nd... before her bdae... and thus i happily went to order the cakes at Perfect Fairy Cakes..... den KML wanted to postpone the date to 29; and i forgotten to change the delivery of the date... and we cant keep the cake for like 1 wk as its fresh cream.... so.. yeah had to do a 'last min' celebration for her.. hahhaah
but thank goodness it went well. picked seph up before doing the cake.. and my my my.. the cake was really pretty!!!

While picking KML up from Clementi.... this woman was complaining non stop about how far the car was being parked.. thus resulting in her HAVING to walk a LONG distance... *^)(*#)(*#)( hahahaahhaa .... Decided to go Settlers Cafe; throughly enjoyed urselves with the Blackmail and Ugly Ugly Ugly.. hahhaa. KML cut her cake there and she loves it througly *Guys, at least she enjoyed her cake, so it wasnt dat big a booboo!!! hahahaa*
KML looking pretty....

The gals were trying to look demure here.. lol

The lookers

An alternate version to Chubby Cheeks

We were too full to eat the cake.. cld only managed a quarter of it.. =p

We wanted to go bowling at the CSC Bukit Batok but it was like too packed or so.. decided to go 'pooling' instead... and as usual, it was Seph the Pool Queen who won.. hahahaa
Babes posing and drew some weird looks from the teenagers from the next table

Meeting at VIllage
meet up with the peeps from dunman for dinner tonite at Village or the old Marche at Heerens; our hangout place back den ... and boy wasnt it the funniest thing to do? hahaahah i was supposed to ask yum along too, but for some reason or another, i tot kohim wld be the one asking; thus explaining the reason why she wasnt invited; both me and kohim tot dat the other party has asked her along... haaha
So ultimately, only 4 of us turned up: Kohim,没道德 and Bobby and moi. Bobby was fashionably late and 没道德 was unexpectedly punctual... WOW... hahaaha ordered the usual stuff... had rosti with chix sausage, ham n cheese crepe, pizza, soup and choco fondue for dessert....
have always loved these times with the dunmanians... no matter how long have we not met, or how long we have not kept in contact; we have this amazing way of clicking and it just felt like yesterday since we left dunman. 没道德 was exclaiming dat it has since been NINE whole years since we have grad..... time really flies...
reminiscing those times... of cuz we wld have to mention Tan Jen Fee, our CHem teacher, her most classic sayings were "our head is full of Straw!!!', "Yiling, has ur airplane landed back in Singapore yet?", "cLASS!!! SHAKE IT UP" as she wriggles her body during titration experiment....
The reminiscing went on to the ppl we have never heard from since graduation. Sarah would be one of the favs: shes this weird gal who tinks dat eating is a waste of time *GASPS; Qiaoling who was one of the 'nerdier' peeps ard but apparently has turned into this great beauty *tok about the ugly duckling*; Yinglei the smarty panty who scored 397/400 for her four Chinese Lit exams; Yunci who was most well known for her "欢迎你来到我们这一排" and her infamous throwing up after having too much to drink during chalet...... the list really goes on...
come next yr, it will be the 10th year anniversay since we have graduated from Dunman and i do hope dat this little clique dat we have will always remain united... =) another 10 years.... *and also 10 yrs with......*

Dealing with Office Jerks
Was reading some of Yahoo articles and found this link to be extremely interesting and hopefully helpful.
I'm sure everyone would agree that office life can have its ups and downs, but having to 'tahan' jerks will make it even more miserable. Such jerks can take on many forms, and thur will require us to come out with 'creative' strategies to deal with them; or rather 'finish' them of... hahahahaah
6 common types and methods in handling them:
The Loud Phone-Talker. "Obviously the first step is to pull them aside quietly and ask them to lower their voice when using the phone," says Julie Jansen, a career coach, consultant, and trainer. "If this doesn't stop them, you could dish out the same treatment and stand near their cube on your cell phone and talk loudly. Or you can hold up a sign that says, 'Please turn volume down.'"
The Hang-Arounder. When confronting the co-worker who chronically lingers to chat when you are trying to make a deadline -- a subtle jerk, but a jerk nonetheless -- try standing up when they enter your office or cube. "The unspoken message of your body language will clearly tell him or her to keep it brief and head for the door," says Ken Lloyd, author of "Jerks at Work: How to Deal With People Problems and Problem People."
The Idea Stealer. There is a strong possibility that this jerk can't distinguish between a good idea and a bad one. "Somewhere along the way, slip in a really bad idea and let the jerk steal that," Lloyd says. However, beware that this might only encourage the jerk to become worse.
The Meeting Monopolizer. Get creative. "Try eliminating the chairs and making it a standup meeting," Lloyd suggests. The monopolizer will likely get thrown off and won't have time to settle into the usual routine of unproductive dominance.
The Bully. Remember, you're not in high school anymore. "Hold your ground and refuse to be bullied," says Steve Piazzale, a career and life coach who runs BayAreaCareerCoach.com. "They'll usually back off over time."
The Boss. Sometimes dealing with a jerk should not be your problem, particularly if you have a manager who is a jerk. In this case you might take a look around the company and notice several jerks. "This may be part of the company culture," Piazzale says. "In which case get out!"
More General Coping Strategies
Passive. Avoidance is the most obvious solution if you don't want a confrontation with any type of office jerk. "You can go to your boss and ask him to intervene," says Jansen. Or, if things are really unbearable, you could ask to be relocated to another part of the office.
Active. Avoidance can backfire if the jerk continues the annoying behavior. Try talking to the person. "Difficult people don't always know they're being difficult," Jansen says. "People generally don't have a very high level of self-awareness, so specific and constructive feedback is important."
If you must confront a jerk, it is wise to take the high road. Career coach Piazzale says, "Try to understand where the behavior is coming from, and tailor your response to that."

IT FELL APART!!!
urrrghhh i hate dat stupid Alvin... or shd i say DR Alvin!!!!! hes a screwball... the bloody temp crowning he made for me fell apart!!!!!! URGHHHHHH now i gotta wait til Mon to redo it... urrgghhhh
10 ways to Outwit your appetite!!!
1. Feed it protein for breakfast. You'll be less hungry later on and end up eating 267 fewer calories during the day. At least that's what happened on days when St. Louis University researchers gave overweight women two scrambled eggs and two slices of jelly-topped toast for breakfast rather than about half that protein.
2. Make it climb a flight of stairs. At home, store the foods that tempt you most way out of reach. For instance, Cornell University food psychologist Brian Wansink, PhD, keeps his favorite soda in a basement fridge. "Half the time I'm too lazy to run down there to get it, so I drink the water in the kitchen."
3. Sleep on it. People who don't get their eight hours of zzz's experience hormonal fluctuations that increase appetite, report researchers.
4. Give it something else to think about. When scientists scanned the brains of people eating different foods, they found that the brain reacts to fat in the mouth in much the same way that the nose responds to a pleasant aroma. So if you feel a craving coming on, apply your favorite scent.
5. Never let it see a heaping plate. The more food that's in front of you, the more you'll eat. So at a restaurant, ask your waiter to pack up half of your meal before serving it to you, then eat the extras for lunch the next day.
6. Put it under the lights. You consume fewer calories at a well-lit restaurant table than you do dining in a dark corner. "In the light, you're more self-conscious and worry that other patrons are watching what you eat," explains Wansink.
7. Talk it down. Entertaining friends with a great story doesn't give you much time to eat up, so you'll probably still have food on your plate when they're done. Once they're finished, call it quits too.
8. Offer it a seat. If you sit down to snack -- and use utensils and a plate -- you'll eat fewer calories at subsequent meals.
9. Satisfy it with soup. Start lunch with about 130 calories worth of vegetable soup and you'll eat 20 percent fewer calories during lunch overall, say Penn State experts.
10. Give it little choice. Packages that contain assorted varieties of cookies, candy, dips, cheese, etc., make you want to try all the flavors. The effect is so powerful, says Wansink, that when people are given 10 colors of M&Ms to munch on, not seven, they eat 30 percent more!
Oh, and one more thing: Feeding your appetite a diverse diet that is low in calories and high in nutrients can make your as RealAge much as four years younger. Sweet.

Secrets to a Super Silky leg
Hey peeps, was reading some online articles and found something really interested. There is absolutely no need to get expensive products to create a 'silky sheen' effect on ur legs... =p u can just get safflower oil.
Safflower oil is actually a polyunsaturated oil, which is pressed from the seeds of a spiky yellow safflowers, which is extremely high in linoleic acid, which is a fatty acid that skin normally makes to keep its moisture level up and barrier function intact. Some advantages are being odourless, colourless and the best part of all... CHEAP!!!
Although this is commonly one of the favourite treatments for dry lower legs, it can also be used body-wide; as long as u have the time to let the oil set in properly into ur skin. MOst effective way of using it is to smooth it on immediately after a bath or shower to seal in the moisture.
If u feel weird using cooking oil on ur skin, u can just add in a bit into ur normal body moisturizer... and voila; u are on ur way to have the perfect summer legs!

Mega Grumpz
din mean to be dat bitchy, but i must really write an entry about my dental appt today. Firstly, its not supposed to hurt since i have done all my FOUR root canal treatments, and yet strangely, it has been hurting since the weekend. OK fine, dat aside, when he was shaping my tooth for the temp crowning, he actually drilled a hole in the tooth besides the one that needed treatment, and with such force i must say!!!!
"yelpppp!" i shouted; and "ooops sorry" came the reply. After the 'drilling' was done, i asked him why was there such a sharp pain, and he explained dat he accidently drilled a hole in the next tooth/ *@&($&$(&)&)@)_@!!!! ARGHHHHHH
I seriously have no idea what kinda material was being used, but the temp crown is REALy rough... and dat was not just it. He actually made one dat was SOOOO thick and long dat it interferred with my swallowing of saliva... was extremely uncomfy cuz it cut my tongue and there was so much blood lost... had to go back to mummy's clinic at Kovan to trim the crown. Even mummy was shocked with it... such poor workmanship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The reason why he was in such a rush and din take his time to trim my tooth was because he was rushing to meet his wife!! wat a bastard!!!
If not for the fact dat hes mummy's colleague, he will get it BIG time from me!!! URGGHHHHH

Bakerzin
Went out with the gals to Bakerzin for 'high tea'; though it wasnt really high tea high tea since we met ard 5ish... hahah was supposed to be ard 4ish and we had Nana rushing down from bedok just to be on time, without realising dat she was the earliest. Well u cant really blame us since she has a track record of being late, thus we 'justifying' for our late coming! hur hur hur....
May was nice enough to pick up from my place, since mummy was using the car... and when we saw Nana in the cafe, she had the 'blackest' face ever.. cuz she was the 1st one to arrive and has been waiting for us since 4ish... kekeke... On account of the fact that ur shouting us the meal, i will say SORRY.. lol lol...
I must comment that we were quite disciplined this time round and didn't order too much food. We just had tea, bruschetta, a bit of soup and 3 serves of cakes for the 5 of us. I quit like the spicy bloody mary soup (aka tomato soup) cuz it was really zesty and tangy, though the gals din like their mushroom soup *was too herbal they said*
Moi, Nana, May n Seph

OC gals looking pretty.....

nana n moi; photographer Seph has luffing about e fact dat i was trying to look kawai in this pic.. do u tink so? lol

Seph n moi; photographer nana was commenting dat the cakes look really good as opposed to the ppl posoing for it.. haha

Pretty Babes in action

Seph was commenting dat since me and may have our signature Chubby Cheeks, they will have their "skinny face" look lol....

Our dear May was saying dat since we dun have a habit of taking pics of the food before we et them, she has committed to herself taking pics of them BEFORE we eat them, WHEN we are eating them and AFTER we eat them... hahahaa
We had 3 desserts: Warm Chocolate Tart, Strawberry Shortcake and Warm Apple Tart

Johor Bahru
Went to JB for the 1st time after.... say 14 yrs?? and seriously i dun tink dat place has changed much... hahah the buildings still looked the same, the ppl are still as u know wat.... hahaha but wat has changed is dat i no longer need to ask my peeps to give me money so dat i can buy a Mecca's milkshake.. LOL LOL
Went to Holiday plaza; they have heaps of pirated dvd shops. This is definitely worth a mention because, the whole way they operate is vastly different. Firstly u wld expect to be able to walk into a shop with heaps of dvd titles on the rack, and also some catelogues for u to choose from; but no. That is not the cause, u will be walking thru a jungle of closed shops, with ah bengs 'soliciting' outside for u to buy from them. Even to an extend of being pushy and forceful; its something like "u better go into MY shop or else u will DIE!" hahaha i know it sounds dramatic but its true! hahaha.
But was plesantly surprised dat they have HEAPS of manicure/pedicure shops along with the large no. of hair salons with dirt cheap prices.... the standard looks quite good too.... must go there with may and seph i was telling myself... hahaah. Wld dat be a yes gals? lol lol
Had dinner at this realy 70s looking food centre. Despite its really 简陋 conditions, the food was really yummy. Shop dat we patronised was called "958", they served some really yummy food. We had drunken prawns, sambal sotong, sambal sweet potato leafs, sambal lala and also fried egg omelette... and guess how much it cost? All of 50RM!!! *it translates to ard 22SGD!!* Dats like dirt cheap man!!!!!
What a feast!!! The sugar cane drink was gigantic!!!! and cheap too! hahaha

I seriously suspected that the auntie gave us way too much Lalas..... but they were really good and din smell funny

Wanted to order cereal prawns but am so glad that i did not... this drunken prawns was good!

This was what was left of the omelette.. hahah we were too hungry to have dig in before taking pics.. hahaahaha

Judging from the amt of sotong left, u can know for sure this is a yummy dish

The last dish of the installment... quite nice also....

Went to Giant Supermarket to just walk walk, and those pesky credit card salesman kept wanting me to sign up for it.. only to be rejected with a "helloz, do i look as if im a Malaysian? DUhz!"

Will definitely wanna go back to do my hair, nails and masasage and definitely for its food also! hahahaaha
Oh yeah took this pic with K1 during lunch when i met her and Shar at China Sqaure ...
